Hi I am really having problems with my Minecraft launcher. Basically whenever I load up my Minecraft launcher it just starts loading up but it gets stuck on that screen. I have left it for about 1 hr but nothing happened. After I left it I tried to click it but then it just went onto a blank screen. I have deleted my .minecraft folder in %appdata% and I have re installed java twice and nothing has changed. Please help because there is something happening on my favorite server and its only for a short period of time and I really want to play it. Could you possibly give me more information? what type of Operating system you use, what java update, and well, anything else you can think of.

What version of Minecraft do you use? 1.7, 1.8 or even, 1.6, please answer this as i might have a answer for you.

I use windows 7 professional as my operating system. And I updated to java 8 64 bit. (My computer is a 64 bit)

i think there is your problem. java 8 doesn't work with Minecraft (That I know of) i would recommend, and type this in your search engine, Java 7 update 55 64 bit. if this doesn't work, please comment back. also, could you please state what minecraft VERSION you are using, 1.6, 1.7, 1.8

I use 1.8

now, have you installed the new java? remember search, Java 7 update 55 64 bit, as this is the version i use and it works. if this does not work, use, Java 7 update 45 (64 bit) as i used to play on this and they both work.

Java 7 55 didn't work so I'll try 7 45

I tried both of the Java's. Deleted the .minecraft folder and nothing has happened. Any other ideas?

Check to make sure that you've uninstalled Java 8, djlam. Then I'd recommend downloading another copy of the minecraft launcher to make sure that it is not corrupted in any way, which I doubt.
