First of all-- I do know how to properly tame horses, especially the fact that you shouldn't be holding an item while attempting it. But I've came across several horses in my world that will not react to any right-clicks at all. They can take damage and still behave like a proper horse, but no matter what I try, I can't mount them to even attempt taming them. I have a few horses currently that ARE tamed, and even bred a donkey and horse, but the mule would not respond to anything at all, even though the parents were BOTH properly tamed.
I couldn't find any other issues with this, but this COULD possibly relate to the fact that I am playing on a Realms server that I own. Are there any suggested actions for this? I'd really like to be able to use all these mules that I've accumulated. What a waste of gold.
Nevermind-- I actually found the problem. They weren't displaying as immature horses, they all showed as full-size. Had to let them grow up for long enough. That was confusing.
