I have had to take days of a mine craft crash coursing to get to this very question.
I have the update version on mine craft. Everything seems to be working fine except for the controls when actually playing the game. I am on a MAC PC and when I am trying to place something I can no longer do it by right clicking on the magic mouse. All controls seem to work just fine. I have already went into the folder and deleted the .options thing and it didn't fix the problem. There is no one to call and I am at this point defeated.
What do you mean by other programs? In general... you know, let my check the setting of my mouse. My mouse is set to click on the left side. As for the controls:
Attack/Destroy- Button 1(Left Click on mouse)--That works
Drop Item-Q (That works)
Pick Block-Button 3 (Kids say walk toward it)
Sprint-LCONTROL
Use Item/Place Block -THIS IS THE PROBLEM....Button 2 (Left Click on mouse)-that is what is not working.
I am testing it on Creative mode.
When I get the pics I will reply to this thread. As well as the .minecraft folder contents.
are you sure the right click function on your mouse is still working? try unplugging and plugging your mouse back in, or try binding the place block to a key on your keyboard and test it, then try to bind it back to your right click again.
Hello, what an awesome mother you are helping your kids with this :).
As most people know, macs are not optmized for gaming especially minecraft as minecraft uses java. Macs generally don't allow you to choose the version of java which make it ever more frustrating.
Personally I'd recommend a standard mouse for this sort of thing, over a "Magic Mouse".
What version of Mac OSX do you run? Try updating your os.
Last, if you haven't already try hard resetting the computer (turn off, unplug for 30 seconds, replug turn on). If it's a laptop (macbook), take out the battery while doing so.
Thank you. Thats awesome to hear. To be honest, I have spent days and many nights learning this thing enough that I now can install mods. My kids love mine craft....in every sense of the word and its existence.
I have to check something with Apple Support. Once I do that, I will continue the thread. The last thing I want is to waste anyones time.
You're using the magic mouse. Make sure your right-click is enabled in system preferences. From the desktop, click the apple symbol in the top left corner and select "system preferences", the "mouse" then make sure the check-box is ticked on the "secondary click" option.
