So I want to download some mods. I found a few helpful tutorials, and they all said to put the mod files in your mimecraft.jar. I looked in the bin folder in .minecraft and it wasn't there. Inside the bin folder was a folder that said "temp" and there was nothing in there. Help?
In your computer screen, theres a button with the windows icon (i dont know the name of it). Click it and search for %appdata%. You will see a file with the name of Roaming. The .minecraft file should be there. Then, follow the mod instructions Sorry for my english, im from Portugal
I know how to get to .minecraft, I just can't get to the minecraft.jar...
In your computer search, type %appdata%. Then click on Roaming. You will then find the Minecraft file should be there. Use WinRar or other software to open .minecraft. There you have it! Then, follow the mod instructions and install the mod. Hope you found this useful!

That's really helpful, thanks. Do you know a good up to date tutorial?
Thanks, but I just figured it out myself.
