I cannot play minecraft .-. I get 100-140 frames on battlefield, yet I cannot play minecraft. As I am playing, the GPU monitoring software doesn't show anything abnormal other than huge leaps in GPU usage. I will just be walking around, looking around, placing blocks, digging, anything, and I will either lag REALLY badly for 1-2 seconds, or freeze 1-3 seconds. This happens 1-2 times per minute and nothing I do stops it.
I've tried:
unplugging it and plugging it back in
restarting my computer
increasing fan speeds (6 of them....)
increasing and decreasing Minecraft's allotted CPU levels, from max of 1G to max of 5G
disabling all resource packs and even using vanilla minecraft. it does the same thing with a patched 512 texture pack that it does on default
Please help, its quite depressing that I have this huge computer that we've built and I cant play minecraft...........

Hi there, I recently had the same problem and fixed it by installing Java 6. As the person above me suggests you should try installing 8JRE, as it's obviously an updated version. I haven't tried it myself. Once you have it installed, go to your Minecraft and open up your Profile settings by clicking 'Edit profile'. Then under "Advanced", "Executable:" replace the current path to Java with the new one, which is "C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\javaw.exe" for me. Goodluck!

Please help, its quite depressing that I have this huge computer that we've built and I cant play minecraft...........Try optifine and turn on OpenGL and turn chunkloading to multicore-in ur case. Tweak other settings in places like performance.
Last of all, how much were your computers. They're REALLY GOOD. <3
Also, incresing ur minecraft ram isnt necessary till the point of 5G. Default minecraft (including optifine) should only need 2G or 1G
Dont use 1.8, its really bad for gaming computers. Use 1.7.10 instead.

That works great and all PolarDerp, but I need 1.8 working D: Thank you for the reply though, I gave you an internets, whatever that is
