There's been an issue for quite a while for those of us who play hardcore on the PC version. It gives a message "Delete world" and you choose between choose "title screen" and "respawn." Choosing "Title Screen" will tell you that you died, so it's essentially an infinfite loop as long as you keep choosing "Title Screen"
While "It's game over man, it's game over!" has always annoyed me, clicking on the "Respawn button" is the really annoying part. Since the world is supposedly deleted, it kicks out a huge number of errors about how it "couldn't save the chunk" which takes a few minutes to complete, if not crash the game altogether. And really, why give the option to respawn when the whole reason to play Hardcore is to accept the fact that death is permanent?
How about options like "Yes, Delete" or "No, restart" where "Yes" deletes the world and "No" regenerates the world and you start without any items?
I'm aware that single player hardcore isn't the most popular way to play this game, but I think that the code for dying in hardcore is a bit broken and wouldn't hurt to see it fixed.
