We're using Minecraft on a Mac running 10.7.5. We have four user accounts on the Mac.
On Saturday, Kiddo1's account would only load in demo mode because it claimed it was still logged in somewhere. We verified that it was not the case. I went into another user on the same computer and was able to load that Minecraft username in regular play mode. We logged out, but the first account still insisted another player was still logged in on that account.
We copied all the minecraft program files from the second user onto the first user (minus the worlds, which we preserved) and voila! My son's minecraft account logged in just fine with no issues.
---
The next day, the account would not load again, same reason given. "This account is already logged in." Again we copied over the program files from another user on the same computer, and it logged in fine.
--
This has continued every day until today, when I cannot get it to work at all. I've tried copying over the previous program files; I've tried reinstalling pretty much everything I can. It's insisting the account is logged in even though it's not. But note: we're not refunded because we can still access the Minecraft account and play it in play mode. Just not from the player's user account on my computer.
There's got to be some file that's not updating properly whenever the account logs out. Which file is this, and how can I make it update correctly?
