Minecraft runs smoothly for render distances 16 and fewer, however, when I change it up to 17+ :

- Entities stop moving, can't hit or interact with them.

- The world loads as if it was set to 16 chunks.

- It takes longer than usual, or it even usually crashes, when I try to save the world.

My laptop is MSI GS60 and these are its specs:

• CPU: i7-4710HQ @ 2.50GHz
• RAM: 16 GB
• Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 870M
• Windows 8.1, 64 bit, Java 8 SDK 64 bit

I've tries 1.8.1 pre - 1 and the problem is still there.

You try and tell this to them that it's not on our end it's minecraft being a pile of **** and they say its other people who have the problem. So far I've done everything everyone has suggested and each fix is making it worse than the last.
