I just got a new computer, and wanted to play some Minecraft on it and no big deal. I go and download the file and everything goes well until I get this message:

Go to Start and type in cmd. Right-click the results that appears and click 'Run as administrator', then accept then UAC dialogue.
In the command prompt window, type the following command and press enter:

sfc /scannow

Once the scan is complete, restart your computer.

YOU ARE THE MAN! Well, sorta, jk. But I did exactly that, found that my problem was installing the wrong version of opengl.dll. So, the scan fixed that and after restarting, I found that my graphics card was acting weird. So I updated that and now WABAM! I be here in this place mining away at my slime chunk!
