Am trying to download and instal the Too much TNT mod for my son and I am really lost with the technical aspect of it all!
here's the details:
- Have new launcher and 1.5.2
- 1.6 would not manually download when attempted
- Have 7Zip as our security wouldnt let us use WinRar
- Deleted the metaInf folder as directed.
- Downloaded Modloader and Too Much TNT mod apparently successfully!
- We previously backed up our texture packs etc.
- Finally managed to get the forge version of 1.5.2 up on Profile Editor and been using that (1.5.2- Forge 7.8.1.738)
- Have also since deleted the Bin folder as advised by yet another tutorial!
Our problems (apart from the fact that most tuts I find when searching for 1.5.2 end up being for something else or old launcher and tell me to force update which I can't!)
When we launch, the Forge dialogue box comes up and all looks promising in the launcher log, but then we end up with a black screen. Here's what it says on the launcher log after it has listed "attempting to download....." x lots of things and then "Finished downloading...." all those things:

I need answers in very simple speak - technically that is!!!
1.6.4 should download fine... That is if using New Launcher.
What security? UAC (User Account Control)? Nothing should be blocking 7Zip, if anything I would expect Winrar to be blocked as well.
Deleting MetaINF means the mod is ancient and likely not even able to work sufficiently anymore. While still possible to use it, mods that ask to delete MetaINF means they are old and not even Forge compatible.
I know not even if Modloader can work anymore given new launcher and loading of Minecraft methods. Though it should.
Is no Bin folder anymore since new Minecraft launcher.
Sorry, I am confused also! And as said - VERY much a beginner with this type of stuff (and too old for it too! LOL!)
Launcher is 1.5.3
And in Edit Profile, "Use Version": we are trying to use "release 1.5.2-Forge7.8.1.738".
1.6.4 game version? If so, how do I do it? I have been attempting the manual download as it says I can do on the opening page, but it doesn't seem to work.
7Zip seems to be working fine - we're on Trend Micro - it did block WinRar though.
We looked at (and followed) numerous versions of tutorials for downloading and installing the Too Much TNT mod - all for the 1.5.2 version of the game. (I know nothing about what's ancient, new etc etc!) They all seemed to be forge compatible from the tutes.
So what should I actually do to get anything to work?!!?

I am going nuts with all these tutes!
Cheers,
Frustrated Mum!
1.5.2? Of the launcher or game version?

Still no TNT mod anywhere to be seen.
Can anyone - given above info in this and intial post - tell me how I should go about installing Too Much TNT Mod?
What game version should I use?
Any info????
Cheers
