Hey Guys, if I wont to completely wipe MineCraft off my computer and reinstall it fresh, what are the steps to do that. Obviously I will copy my "saves" folder so i don't loose my games. Anything else?

To completely remove Minecraft from your computer, you just need to delete the .minecraft folder and keep your saves folder, as you said.

This is not possible - I'm using Windows 7 and Minecraft is not actually listed on the programs list and that's why you have to uninstall it by deleting the .minecraft folder

Minecraft doesn't use a Windows Installer. It's a standalone executable. Therefore it's not added to the program list in the registry.

The only way to COMPLETELY uninstall Minecraft is to delete the %appdata%/.minecraft folder along with any other folders you may make for profiles.

If you're seeing Minecraft in the "Add/Remove Programs" or "Programs and Features" (depends on Windows version) then it's probably a hacked client and you need to scan your PC for malware and viruses ASAP.
