I was playing one of my worlds, and the game suddenly crashed as I loaded a new chunk. No warning, just crashed. I can't get back into the world; Minecraft just exits on the "downloading terrain" step.
I went into MCEdit and completely deleted the offending chunks. I was able to get back into the world, but as soon as I crossed the exact same point as before, the game crashed.
Here's the error log..

Says modded, but all mods are disabled. What looks weird to me is the memory line--notice how it's 7360 / 7667 MB? I was originally running at 2500, but saw something like 2300/2500 in the log, so I pushed it up to 4000, then 8000. It seems like nearly all of the memory available to Minecraft is being used, or perhaps that is normal and not an issue. As you can see, the map is Skyblock, so there really should not be a memory issue here..!
if anyone has advice for resolving this, that'd be greatly appreciated!
Ok, so I turned my render distance WAY down, and can play just fine, crossing chunks and everything. If I put my render distance back to its usual setting (far), I crash as soon as crossing a chunk. Interesting...
I will get a completely fresh .jar and try that.
Edit: fresh jar, mods deleted from folder, and same issue. Works fine with low render distance, but fails with high. I don't understand why probably the least memory intensive world possible is causing crashes, while my other worlds play fine with far render distance.:| I guess I can try giving it more memory, but my PC idles at 7000, so there isn't a whole lot to spare if I give Java any more than 8000...
New crash now...WITH 4 chunk render distance. Managed to get another 120 blocks or so before this crash.

This is the fresh .jar, so no clue why it says modded. I'm using MagicLauncher 1.2.5, so perhaps it's causing that message... Will try without it, but feel like this is something memory-related...
