Issue: When I install forge and the ShadersModCore everything works fine, but as soon as I add a shader pack into Minecraft it crashes. I have an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 870M so my graphics card is not an issue. If anyone can help me troubleshoot this that would be great!

Issue: When I install forge and the ShadersModCore everything works fine, but as soon as I add a shader pack into Minecraft it crashes. I have an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 870M so my graphics card is not an issue. If anyone can help me troubleshoot this that would be great! How would I go about doing this? I have NVIDIA Geforce Experience program, but it doesn't have anything I can see about switching the graphics card.
For anyone else who is having this issue this is what I did:
1. Look for or something similar:

2. Open Graphics Card Editor
Right click on desktop
Click on NVIDIA Control Panel
3. Change Settings In Graphics Card Control Panel
Under 3D Settings
Manage 3D Settings
Global Settings - Change Preferred Graphics Processor to "High Performace NVIDIA Processor"
Set PhysX Configuration
Select a PhysX Processor - Change to GeForce GTX 870M
Then apply settings and start Minecraft up and it all should work! Thanks for the help dadiko39 in solving this issue! I hope this will help other people troubleshoot if receive a Minecraft error message.

Issue: When I install forge and the ShadersModCore everything works fine, but as soon as I add a shader pack into Minecraft it crashes. I have an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 870M so my graphics card is not an issue. If anyone can help me troubleshoot this that would be great!

It looks like that you have switchable graphics, and also on a laptop.
Tell your NVIDIA control panel to create a profile that targets Java executable (C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\java.exe AND C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\javaw.exe).
Then set to High Peformance (use NVIDIA card).
Make sure you are plugged in into AC power, or else it might decrease peformance (for extended battery life).
How would I go about doing this? I have NVIDIA Geforce Experience program, but it doesn't have anything I can see about switching the graphics card.
For anyone else who is having this issue this is what I did:
1. Look for or something similar:
- [SMC INF]Vendor : Intel
- [SMC INF]Renderer : Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600
2. Open Graphics Card Editor- Right click on desktop
- Click on NVIDIA Control Panel
3. Change Settings In Graphics Card Control Panel- Under 3D Settings
Then apply settings and start Minecraft up and it all should work! Thanks for the help dadiko39 in solving this issue! I hope this will help other people troubleshoot if receive a Minecraft error message.Manage 3D Settings

Select a PhysX Processor - Change to GeForce GTX 870M
