Hello. I have searched everywhere on the internet for a solution to this. I spent literally over 8 hours a day for 3 days trying to find a solution. Here is the problem:
I am trying to install mods and when the mod happens to be a .jar file, it works properly. When it is a .zip file, it doesn't show up in the mod list as working, and doesnt work in the game. I have tried using forge and placing the mod (still zipped) into the mods folder. It didn't work, so i placed it unzipped into there. Same result. In both cases i selected the proper profile when launching. This is when i decided to try MultiMC5. I read a bunch of tutorials on how to use it. The same thing happened. I selected my mod to use (the .zip file) and another mod (as .jar file, SPC-1.6.4 to be exact). the .jar file worked and the .zip files didnt (village marker mod and a spawn chunks mod). I then made a backup of my minecraft.jar and tried using old techniques, but they all failed too. I watched countless tutorials on how to install that specific mod and none of them worked. Is there any way that i can get my .zip mods to work with either MultiMC or Forge (MultiMC prefferably). I can also supply a video if needed. This has been the most aggravating thing ever. Here are the logs from forge (i only screenshotted where it mentioned my .zip mod and actually talked about it, and the MultiMC logs didnt mention it):
Edit: the villager mod just shows which village doors arwe connected and the perimeter of the village. It also shows the area where iron golems can spawn within.
Also, thank you for telling me about the mod. I have two questions. 1.) How can i tell whether or not it is a forge mod? 2.) How can i manually install it into my minecraft version with MultiMC?

1: Fairly simple, the installation directions tell you to install to the Minecraft jar.
2: If isn't an Forge mod, good ridden to that mod, it is dead to say at least. (I think you can still manually install to the jar, but it is not as simple anymore.)
