I have heard about a lot of minecraft issues with Windows 8.1, i just got a new computer with 8.1 and i cant play minecraft. I keep getting this crash error:

That means that hardware acceleration is not available. Update/install/reinstall your graphics drivers. This issue is not related to Windows 8.1 in any way. It is entirely to do with your GPU and/or GPU driver.

Moderatoras Dr_Hax correctly said its a graphics driver issue, it maybe possible your graphics card doesn't have drivers suitable for windows 8.1
