I'm running a Bukkit 1.7.10 server with a patch to allow 1.8 clients through a hosting company. I have a shop with item frames to display everything that is for sale. 3 days in a row while I'm offline, someone comes in and breaks the items from the frames and steals them. The first time I thought it was creepers, so I added a carpet covered canyon at the entrance of my shop (5 blocks deep) so mobs won't pass. After it happening again the next day, I discovered you could shoot the items off the frame with arrows, eggs, or snowballs (I didn't know this was a thing, I'm new to this). I replaced all the missing items again, but it happened again yesterday. I don't have proof of who is doing it, so I can't ban anyone yet. Because they are entities, GriefLog doesn't record what happens to them. The plugins I've found so far to address this issue still allow shooting the items off with arrows.

I have Essentials, WorldGuard, ModReq, GriefLog, and Factions installed, among other plugins. I've read that WorldGuard doesn't protect against this. Is there a setting in Factions to protect entities that I may have overlooked? Is there another recommended plugin to protect the items? Should I replace a plugin for something better (I'm already running at 50% when I'm on by myself on a 6gb server)?

I think I'm more upset that the thief just got greedy than I am about having to redo my work 3 times. I mean, really?

Frame protect. World guard broke in the new update as item frames change to doubles I think. I know that frame protect is the best though.http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/frameprotect/

Thank you for the suggestion. I have it installed and have frames protected. I was still able to break the items. Could that be because it's my frame and I'm OP? I'll wait for someone to come online to test it anyway.

Awesome, so far so good. I had some players try breaking them with arrows, eggs, and snowballs and it looks like we're good. Thank you!
