I'm probably posting this in the wrong place, but I desperately need help.
I recently created a brand new Multiplayer Minecraft Server and it is hosted via Multicraft. We are running vanilla 1.8. Frequently, a player or two will be singled out and unable to join the server, getting the following errors:
"io.netty.handler.timeout.ReadTimeoutException" "Failed to login: The authentication are currently down for maintenance."
It doesn't happen to us all at once, but it does indeed happen to all of us. I could post what the console says when we try to login and fail if needed. This is becoming really frustrating, as some of our users give up on logging in for the day and others will go through restarts of their computer, me restarting the server, restarting the game client etc etc etc until they are randomly able to return to the world. None of these seem to work any better than the others. If one would claim to it would likely be a placebo effect at this point, or so I'm convinced.
Is there any fix for this?
EDIT: As a side note, we do have 1 person on the server who is playing on a Mac instead of a PC and is not seeming to run into this problem herself yet. I hope this information proves useful.
