I don't usually come to the forums with my problems because 99% of the time anything can be solved with a very small amount of googling, however... I am unable to find a solution to my issue...
About a week ago I noticed that upon closing Minecraft the "java" client (a window named "java" with the crafting table icon) would freeze or hang in my dock. I have tried quite a few well known solutions for such problems such as Force Quitting and using the terminal to kill the process but I've still had no luck... The only way I have been able to remove the hung application was through force shutting down my Mac (even a normal shutdown will hang because it can't close the application) and this is rather inconvenient... I was wondering if anyone else was having the same issue as me or would be able to shed a bit of light on the situation?
I have Java 1.7.0_67 installed (including the jdk) as well as the terrible modified Java 1.6 provided by Apple. I have tried isolating the problem to see if it was an issue with Java 1.6 or Java 1.7 but it still persists.
Edit: Here's the output of the launcher on startup (for some reason it's not recognising 1.7 as the java version, could this be related to the issue?)
