I just set up Minecraft again on a fresh install of Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit. My graphics driver, Java 32 bit and Java 64 bit are installed and up to date. Fraps clocks Minecraft in around 1,100 to 1,500 FPS with everything set to the minimum settings for troubleshooting. If I play on single player or if I play on a server every 1 second I experience a very, very slight jerking of the screen while I'm moving or spinning. It doesn't seem to affect the performance of the game and it seems to only be visual but it's enough to irritate me to make the game unplayable.
Has anyone experienced this? Is there a fix. Everything is Vanilla.
If you're getting that kind of FPS, you're really pushing it to the limit. You might want to turn on VSync to limit your FPS to whatever your monitor can handle. It might work for you, it might not. Slide that "max framerate" slider all the way to the left, and see what happens. You can always put it back again.
My RAM usage was bouncing around 950MB-1GB so when it hit the default limit the screen would stutter. I increased the amount allocated to Minecraft and I stopped getting the stutter when I played.
I limited the game to 60 FPS but it didn't affect my RAM usage so I left it on unlimited.
