Not exactly sure if i'm posting this in the right place, but here we go.
So apparently i've been playing minecraft for a long time, 2 years or more, and all of a sudden 3 days ago, i couldn't log into any servers, a message would pop up when i try to join a server saying "(words i forgot) try restarting your game" and so i did and the same thing kept happening, then i logged out of my account and when i tried to log back in the launcher it would say "SocketTimeoutConnection:connection timed out" and it has been doing that for the past couple days, YES i have emailed mojang and still have had no response, i've searched up this problem and have only found similar problems but no answers, i have tried deleting my .minecraft folder and installed a new copy of the launcher, i've checked if the servers are down and apparently they aren't, i currently have k9 web protection and avira, and i don't think those 2 programs are what is causing the problem, because i am still able to log in to minecraft.net and mojang.com, running a windows xp (old yeah, i know. but i have been running minecraft for a long time without problems on it) I don't know what is causing this problem and it is really irratating me, Please help and if you need any additional info let me know. Thanks!
Oh and also, this problem occurs when i'm at home with my internet, when i go to a different wifi/internet i'm perfectly able to connect.
