I know that a lot of other people are having trouble with the new rendering in 1.8, but I haven't seen this before. It's not exactly game-breaking, but it's fairly annoying.
I updated my game to 1.8 today, and when I opened my world, I noticed that most blocks had transparent gaps between each other. They were especially apparent on corners. (Pictures are in the attachments) I could actually see water and lava through them, weirdly enough.
I tried changing around all the graphics options, but none of them made a difference. I did notice, however, that when I tried to lower the mipmap, it would only stay where I put it for a moment or two, then snap back to four. I also tried switching to a different resource pack, but it didn't change.
