So, my school has effectively blocked minecraft.net and mojang.com, so we're unable to download any updates that may come out for Minecraft, along with being unable to log in to the launcher if we're somehow logged out. The only potential solution I could think of was to run the minecraft launcher behind a proxy, so that it can bypass the web filter that they have on our Macbook air's (Every student has their own, filter is present even at home.)
