I obviously am not getting the idea around modding correctly because I have tried several ways to get two different types of mods to work.
Hopefully you will know which mods I am taking about, Almost Peaceful mod and Harder Peaceful mod.
I have tried both formatting the .jar file of version 1.7.10 and downloading Forge version adding a mod folder.
NOTHING has work! Seriously, I don't understand why so I am posting to see who else has this problem or if anyone knows if either mods have a history of just not working.

The game isn't loading, the mod isn't taking effect, game crashes randomly, etc.
