I am trying to get Minecraft to work for my son's friend so they can play together online again. It was working fine when he first installed it, they used to be able to play together, and now he said it suddenly crashes every time he tries to start it. After clicking the "Play Minecraft" button, a new window pops up with an error log. The only thing he said he has installed since Minecraft was a Steam game thing and some games from it. I have tried removing it (and removing the .minecraft folder from appdata) and downloading it again but it does the same thing. I also tried uninstalling and re-installing the Java program and updating it but it tells me I have the newest one installed. I read that the graphics driver might need to be updated but the website and the computer both say it is up to date so I tried uninstalling it and re-installing it but that didn't change anything and there don't seem to be any updates for it that I can find.
For Java Version it says (it doesn't show if it is 32 or 64 bit):
java version "1.7.0_67"
Java (TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_67-b01)
Java HotSpot (TM) Client VM (build 24.65-b04, mixed mode, sharing)
I would really appreciate any help asap if anyone knows what I can do. His dad won't help him and he's only at my house until tomorrow, so I only have access to his laptop for a short time while he's here.
