So I recently got Minecraft, about 2 weeks ago, and quickly jumped into it. However, I do have a very annoying problem; I always gets FPS fluctuations, ranging from 15-30. I've eliminated the problem of it possibly being mods, and even with Optifine with everything on the lowest settings, it still stutters frequently. Whenever I do run this, I am sure that nothing else is running in the background. Based on comparison and checking compatibility, my system seems to meet the minimum system requirements:
CPU: AMD E-300 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics | 1.3 GHz
RAM: 3.7 GB
OS: Windows 8 64-bit
Video card: AMD Radeon HD 6310 Graphics
I do have the latest Java version installed, I have tried to use Razer Game Booster which doesn't seem to help, the resolution is at it's lowest, and I have fragmented the hard drive and updated my drivers to the latest. I would figure I'd be able to at least get around 30 FPS. Using the -Xms and -Xmx values seem to slow the game down, but it may be the values I enter. Any suggestions?
