so i just downloaded the new 1.8 update and my minecraft just kinda... crashed. so i tried to close out of it to restart it but it just went black and i can't close out of it. is anyone else having this problem and if so how did you solve it. how can i close out of my thing so i can restart it a play again? and dose it have anything to do with the new update?
CTRL + ALT + DELETE and then open Task manager. Select Minecraft and click end task. For the glitch, can you open the game in 1.7 again? Check if it works then and also check if you have a texture pack open in that version. If so revert it to the Default one and try 1.8 again

So DON'T run a world that has been run in 1.8 in 1.7 without making a backup first!
Just testing.
