I bought a new XFX Radeon R7 260X Core Edition 2GB GDDR5 video card, but after I installed it Minecraft would no longer run! All of my other games work (work faster in fact!, Diablo III, Civilization, XCOM, World of Tanks, etc) but Minecraft won't load at all. When I click "Play" in the loader I get a window titled "Minecraft 1.7.10" (or Minecraft "1.8" now), but the window is either black, or a snapshot of whatever what open on my desktop when the window opened. After a while it is listed as "Not Responding" in the task manager.
I have installed the card in multiple computers and it does the same thing in all of them. When I switch back to the old card (a Radeon HD5660) Minecraft works fine. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling the drivers, updating the drivers, uninstalling/reinstalling Minecraft, and uninstalling/reinstalling Java.
Come on, no one? No guesses even? I'm still running windows XP (I don't have any Win7 or Win8 computers I can install the card in to test), is there possibly some conflict between WinXP, the card, and either Java or whatever graphics Minecraft uses (OpenGL, directX, etc)

The system is an AMD X2 6000+, 4GB, 600w PS.
Any ideas?
