I recently updated to 1.8 from the latest snapshot and I suddenly have these jagged outlines on blocks. It doesn't matter what kind of block it is, it happens to all of them. These were not present when I played on the snapshot, only 1.8.
No matter where I go they'll be there. Depending on where I look is where they appear. I messed with my settings and apparently turning off mipmapping fixes the outlines, but the game starts to look horrible. I made new worlds and it's a problem there, too. I've even been playing around in my nvidia settings and forced anti-aliasing with no luck. It still persists. I've also uninstalled the game and reinstalled.
If it matters, my GPU is a MSI TwinFrozr GTX 760.
Anyone have the same problem? Anyone have a suggestion for a fix?
Edit: You might also need to enlarge the image to see the jagged outlines.
I'm having an issue with mipmapping as well. It makes all my blocks turn black. EVERYTHING. And when I turn it off, the game freezes for a secoind, and it turns itself back on at max. Help?
Anisotropic filtering is for high-resolution texture packs. It "blurs" the pixels to make it smoother. Using it with low-res packs will make everything look blury.
