So i deleted my .minecraft folder a week or so ago, and i tried to re-install minecraft on my PC. When i downloaded the launcher and ran it, i went into the .minecraft to return my saves. Once in the folder, the only things in it were a "logs" folder, a "saves" folder (which was empty) and 5 texture files. I dont know what happened, but i cant reach any other files, if they even exist on my PC. Has anyone had a similar problem, or know of any possible solutions? Its really starting to make me mad
All I can say is that the minecraft launcher did not download everything properly. can you link (Like post a reply or something) the log when you start up the launcher?

At which point you should step back and ask "What am I missing?"
A directory with logs and saves (and possibly resourcepacks) is to be expected in a profile's game directory.
Only the main/default game directory contains all the downloads. Look in the right place and you will find what you are looking for.
