Hello peeps, after not playing minecraft for 2 years I have decided to get back into it. However, I was met by a major obstacle. I downloaded 1.8, created a new world, and all seemed well. Then when I went to go chop down a tree with my hands to get the initial wood needed for tools, after mining a block, it still remained in place for a while before popping into the tiny little harvested form of the block we all know and love. I have tried exiting it and reloading it. both the world and the entire game multiple times to no avail. Also, there is noticeably more lag than when I used to play a long time ago. Any advice would sure be appreciated so I can go back to enjoying this game. =)
I tried allocating more memory using the JVM arguments to xmx 2048M and xms 2048M each, but it says it could not reserve enough space for 2097152KB object heap. I tried toning it down to in the 1000's of Mb, but the game was like a slow mo scene from the matrix... Now I don't even know how to set that to default numbers aha! Any suggestions anyone?
I tried with 350mb and it still was very laggy as well as a delay in blocks being destroyed after I go through the animation and the block crumbles as with before. I have tried with 500mb and it is still the same. I am beginning to wonder if it is the RAM at all or something else. Please help me. =c Havn't played since way before the modern launcher...
Right well by changing the input RAM to 1 gig the normal type of lagg is completely gone. =) However, there is still the biiig issue of blocks taking a second to disappear and turn into item form after mining. Does anyone know anyway to potentially fix this issue? Thank you.
