I haven't played Minecraft in a while and when I try to log in it wont let me. I get the Socket error: 87 thing. My user and password are correct but says

Here's the exact message:

"Sorry, but we couldn't connect to our servers. Please make sure that you are online an that Minecraft is not blocked. (SocketException: Unrecognized Windows Sockets error: 87: create)"

After much trying and investigating and trying again I found a SOLUTION!

all I had to so was reset my windows update or whatever it is and somehow it worked!
