Hello everyone, this is my first time posting in here so here goes. After the update of 1.8 whenever I put something on the table to be enchanted it does not put the item in the center of the table. It puts it off to the side. If I put it on the left side the table list the enchantments that are available, but if I put it on the right side they do not even show up. If I pick up the item and put it back down on the left side the same enachantments show up every time. I have tried replacing the table and same thing happens. And I have tried a number of different items on the table. Any ideas on how to fix this or is it another bug for them to fix from the update?
Enchanting and Repairing have been both massively changed from 1.7 to 1.8.
Enchanting: Using the enchantment table only uses 1-3 levels, however, you still need to have the amount of levels it shows on the right side. Additionally, it costs Lapis Lazuli to enchant something (1-3, depending on how many levels you spend). Also, available enchantments no longer change if item is taken out and put back in, and enchanting something changes the available enchantments for all items, and it's the same for every enchantment table with the same amount of books in that world.
Repairing: The level cost for all is starting at 1, and goes up exponentially with every time you use it in the Anvil. For instance, just renaming something costs 1 level, but if you rename it and then apply an enchanting it with a book, it costs one level for the renaming and two for the enchanting. Also, repairing costs can no longer be kept down by renaming items. (This explanation might have been terrible, if you have issues understanding it, ask your question in the comments)
Also, your using outdated resource pack which is only for 1.7 (until its updated, can tell by old enchanting GUI screen). Go use default ones.
Resource packs don't magically make it immediately compatible with 1.8
Thanks, I will try using the default when I get back to house, out fishing now need some more puffer fish. And I understand what you said about the enchanting and repairing.
