Although, 1.8 is a great update, it gives me horrible lag spikes (FPS). In 1.7, without Optifine, I could get around 100 FPS, without any lag spikes. Now, my frames are around 60, with small but annoying lag spikes. I tried using really low render settings, no fancy graphics, no lighting. Any suggestions on improving my FPS without having to downgrade to 1.7?
Where is that setting, please? My lag is so bad I can't even walk more than a half step without freezing for seconds.
Update - found it - had to scroll the menu one down to find it hidden at the bottom of my video settings. Toggling it on or off didn't change my situation. Thanks, though.
