So I updated to 1.8, first thing I noticed was it was slightly more laggy (Not a 1.8 world, a world from the previous version) and then I noticed all the flower bushes I had planted were all now floating pickups, and that all my chickens are out of their pens and running around, and then I notice two of my horses (One had Diamond armor the other had Iron) just seemed to have disappeared! So I try to fix up the place, but I still have random eggs just appear out of thin air in random places, so I think that some of my chickens are running around invisible, and im hoping my horses are too, but I cant tell! Also, I cant try and tame my new Mule, or any other donkeys. I tried restarting the game and computer several times to no avail. I want my horses and diamond armor back! ;( In case Mojang is wondering, im using Ubuntu for my OS.

I am having a similar problem with a NEW 1.8 world except cows, sheep, creepers, zombies, and spiders are all invisible.

yup zombie are invisible for me as well and skeleton have no legs

Try just making a new world, it alright to start over. or maybe cheating it back in? Open the world to LAN and enable cheats

A fix has been discovered. You need to allocate additional memory to minecraft through the minecraft launcher. Fixed my similar problem.
