I have a world that i played unmodded, but after i added mods into my minecraft folder, and tried to go back into that world my minecraft crashed. Other worlds are still fine but only that one world cannot be opened. It also failed when i tried to open it with my forge profile. (It crashes when i try to open the world. It will say downloading terrain, then after a while crash)

tell me if you need any more information
edit: sorry the world crashed after it showed downloading terrain not generating world
Thus is usually a issue with a specific tile entity or entity on your map, I would suggest using a tool such as Minecraft Region fixer to attempt to automatically fix it, if it cannot help you, try and isolate the specific region your crashing on (IE: systematically move each region file to another folder other than your save folder and launch it, see if you crash.) Once you have the Region file that is causing your issue, use a tool such as MC-EDIT to remove tile entities and other entities in that region, then replace the rest of your map back in the save folder and play. Of course as always back up your map before fiddling with it like this.
edit: Tried the minecraft region fixer, it failed to fix it. when i ran it it said no chunk problems found and no region problems found. am going to try using mcedit now
edit2: i went into mcedit and it could load the world just fine. i have no idea what the error was so i couldnt fix it...
