Cant launch Minecraft stops at Launching...

When i try and launch minecraft the download takes forever then stops at launching...

I havent been able to launch minecraft at all. I have un-installed minecraft and java and re installed them already.

Im using windows 8.1

I get errors in the launchers log. Here are the ones i get most often.

[13:21:39 WARN]: Couldn't download http://resources.download.minecraft.net/08/08e555782cb2785b24e08a417a5e58aa08bd0695 for job 'Resources'
java.net.SocketTimeoutException: connect timed out

[13:22:18 WARN]: Had local file but it was the wrong size... had 146199 but expected 6065908

[13:19:20 ERROR]: Unexpected exception refreshing version list

[13:30:25 ERROR]: Couldn't unpack natives!

[13:28:00 ERROR]: Gave up trying to download http://resources.download.minecraft.net/df/df1ff11b79757432c5c3f279e5ecde7b63ceda64 for job 'Resources'
