Hey guys, I've searched over two weeks throughout the threads to find and fix my problem:
I keep getting disconnected randomly (and often) from my own minecraft server. Error Message, "Connection Lost / Disconnected from server". Let me give you some background information.
I recently received a (used) laptop which I got from my brother. He had minecraft on it before my father wiped the computer and and reinstalled everything. Minecraft worked fine before my father reinstalled everything, including playing on my server. My friend that joins my server does not have any connection problems.
So far, I've read through the threads and have not been able to solve the problem. I've downloaded minecraft again and "reinstalled" it, reinstalled java, restarted the server, checked the internet securty settings (both firewall and application controls), and have obviously restarted the computer.
Now, I'm not that savvy when it comes to computers--my father is (he's the engineer and computer lover for decades). So, please be kind to me.
