I switched to version 1.7.10 recently and I noticed something that might be a bug and by the way annoys me heavily.
I have Smooth Lighting turned ON, as well as the slider all the way to 100%, but darker areas still look like it was off. Look at the screenshot. When I turn the smooth lighting off, the effect is even bigger of cource but that is normal. In 1.6.4 I had no such problem, light was fading out smoothly.
I do use Optifine, latest version, but it is hard for me to believe that at this point of the mod's development there would still be such an insolent bug.
EDIT: Also I tried without Optifine now, but it is the same. I also turned off the texture pack but no go.
