Hello, I recently purchased minecraft for the PC. However, when I tried installing Java (both from the prompt the ATLauncher gave me and the Java Setup off of the oracle site) the process progressed for about 30 seconds before being interrupted with the following error; http://imgur.com/uZN4Gip
I have tried running as administrator, temporarily disabling antivirus, and several other common solutions to permissions problems, but the error continues to persist despite my best efforts. I am at a loss as to how to solve the issue. Is there something else I can try?
Thank you in advance for your assistance. Sincerly, Anthony.
Try the offline installer. Bottom left on your image is the link for it. This is very likely something with your Firewall/Antivirus software blocking certain things. Sometimes there are multiple things you have to do to disable your AV solution completely.
Thank you very much for the appreciated tip and respond but that sadly did not help either. I still for some reason got the error. 1359. I tried getting the Error 1359 Removal Tool but it makes you have to pay for it and also buy RegCure Pro which i do not trust at all. If anyone knows how to get rid of this Error please tell me, its blocking me from getting any Java related installation. Thank you for your time.
There is no legitimate Error 1359 Removal Tool. Same for RegCure Pro. Vast majority of things like this install malware, spyware and viruses on your computer. My guess is that you probably ended up with somethng like this messing up your system.
Thank you for the link to that but any scan i do will not let me get rid of the error for some weird reason. Every time I do scans it doesn't find or show the error. I appreciate that link though but this error is just being a real pain, i might refund my Minecraft purchase very soon if i cant find a solution to this error. Once again thanks for the help. I'll keep looking for a solution but if you find anything that might fix this than please respond.
Because the Log doesn't have anything on it, there was nothing on the scan meaning that the scan did not find anything wrong with my computer no viruses or anything, nothing of use was on the log, and i mean absolutely nothing of use. Im just gonna get my refun back and buy some other game since nothing seems to be working of right now. Thank you anyways.

We can try this if you want; Go to http://sourceforge.net/projects/hjt/files/latest/download and download and run HijackThis tool.
Choose "Do a system scan and save a log file" and when it is done running post log file here inside Spoiler tag (Red button with exclamation mark.)
Maybe we can uninstall whatever is bugging you.
