So im playing modded minecraft with 17 mods may not sound like much right? Well think about this: I use a single core 32 bit 1GB of ram computer, almost every single mod is HUGE, some mods are ic2, gregtech, thaumcraft, and railcraft, AND i'm using 1.7.10! So obviously i need a way to decrease memory usage and up the FPS. I already use Optifine with ALL low settings. Any other tips to up fps and lower memory usage?

ok well i only know how to increase fps. Go into video settings and turn fps to unlimited then lower your render distance. Hope that helped

Upgrade your RAM. 1GB is way too little. You should allocate 2GB or 3GB to modded Minecraft. 1GB with modded minecraft lags horribly. Put 4GB in your computer at least.

Honestly there is not much else you can do except upgrade your computer. I know it sounds harsh... but Minecraft will get laggier with every update. Most of the time. :/

unfortunately i am on a budget i'm talking about things like mods shaders resource packs etc

Don't bother. 32bit CPU is stuck with 32bit OS, is stuck with 32bit processes, is stuck with < 2G process size, is stuck with < 1.5G Java heap.

Use minimum render distance, simple textures and ditch some mods.

guys i have managed to get a 64 bit dual core cpu what is an .exe folder? is it some windows thing? i use a mac
but i'm stuck with java 6 still

.exe is a windows executable file. Yes it is only for windows.
