For the past week, I have not been able to open Minecraft, I double click on the game, it doesnt open, not even when I run as admin.I have tried everything I can think of, and have looked up solutions as well. I have checked, and I already had 32 bit and 64 bit Java, but re-downloaded them just to make sure, nothing happened. I have also tried restarting my computer several times, but with no results. Finally, I have changed my Minecraft to '.jar' using Winrar Archiver, and still it does not open.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what else I can try? Or can tell me what is wrong? I run Windows 7, and this has never happened before, not even on my old computer which had a countless number of viruses on it (And no, there are no viruses on this one, it is a school laptop). And also, the school does not have anything to do with it. They recently made a change where we have limited access to the internet when at school, to prevent us from playing games, but I was still able to open Minecraft there, so there should be no reason why it won't open at home.
You ain't the only one with this kind of problem same with solutions. You running the most current version of minecraft? I know I am and I have Forge installed upon which is also the latest. I can get in without forge with no problems however with forge when I hit play it acts like it begins then nothing. Not even any crash reports.
