Okay so when I was doing modding I moved my folder out and added "back up" to the name just so I don't get confused. Then started minecraft and created a folder done what I wanted then deleted this new folder and put .minecraft back up in to %appdata% then went to change the name from .minecraft back up to .minecraft but whenever I do it tells me "You must type a file name." Any thing I can do? or do I just create a new file and drag my worlds into it. Also if I create a new folder can I get my servers back? Thanks
I found an ansewr on line if anyone else has this problem a link to the web site here
Instead of typing in “.minecraft” for the new name, type in “.minecraft.”. Note the extra trailing dot! After you enter that name and press enter, Windows Explorer magically removes the trailing dot. As a result, you end up with the name “.minecraft”, which is what you want.
