When I try to join a server it says logging in... then after it finishes that process to where no words are on the screen it just closes.

I had a similar problem. When i loaded ANY world (singleplayer or multiplayer) it crashed like this. This happened after I was playing snapshots. I fixed it by loading the OptiFine modded version instead of vanilla, and that fixed it (somehow, no idea how)
