If you have a 64 bit system, you should never use 32 bit Java unless something absolutely requires it for whatever reason (typically just bad programming). You can use 32 bit Java, but there isn't really a reason to on a 64 bit system.

Cool, so uninstall Java, then reinstall the 64 bit version , restart computer then add the command line to the version of MC I'm using that allocates more memory? I have a 8 gig system can someone give me the command to allocate 2 gigs , I'm using an Optifine profile if that matters.

If you are using the regular launcher then edit your profile, and in the Java Settings check the box next to JVM Arguments.
Then enter this into the box: -Xmx2G
That should allocate 2 GB of RAM.

Right now, there is none. I'm running mcforge with a large shaders pack along with several other mods and I had to allocate more RAM, now it runs beautifully.
