Just Snow Biomes Problem

I just signed up for Minecraft Realms and, as always, I didn't move any settings when I created the world.

I have explored the world and walked for about two minecraft days in a straight line and have found NO biomes other than snowy/icy biomes.

The F3 menu does show different names, for example ice plains, cold taiga, etc.

If you think you can help me please ask me to provide more information, but tell me how to obtain it.

PS. I have owned a premium account since 2011 and I have never installed any mods, I like to play plain old vanilla survival minecfaft.

It turned out to be a really really large snow biome area...
