I recently bought a new laptop and I am an avid minecraft player. After the launcher finishes launching and the minecraft window pops up, the game crashes on the Mojang screen. Also, if you can help me, I am not the best at computer language. Please give me the dumbed down version. xD

For now, you can still play 1.7.2 or older versions of the game. To change your game to a different version, start the launcher. Select Edit Profile. In the Use Version dropdown menu, select the game version you want. Then click Save Profile.
