So today I updated my java 64x and just now tried to launch minecraft and it keeps saying that it couldn't add enough memory when I have a terrabyte of ram, I only have it set to 3 gigabytes, and it worked for a long time before the update. I had to disable the JVM arguments for allocating ram to be able to launch. Does anybody know why this is happening?
EDIT: When I try to launch with extra ram an error message appears and the launcher says:
Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not reserve enough space for object heap
I may have just figured out the problem. i have 64 and 32 bit java, 32 bit for certain things on websites that don't work with the 64 bit version, and 64 bit for minecraft. I was checking my fps without the extra allocated memory and saw that for some reason minecraft is running on the 32 bit version when I had it on 64 bit before the update. If I remember correctly 32 bit does not allow extra memory, so all I need to do is get it back on the 64 bit version.
And now i'm getting insanely annoyed. I used uninstallers and everything to remove java to re download the versions. the 32 bit version installed perfectly, but the 64 bit version will not stop saying that I have an older version not completely uninstalled and won't install the new version which is just so ANNOYING

1. Error Message after trying to launch
2. What the launcher shows once it reappears
3. My JVM argument for 3 gigabytes that i've used for a while
4. a second message that the launcher sometimes shows

Moderatoroh i just noticed your argument is wrong (i think, it may not be), put in a -
e.g. -Xmx3G
Well actually when i have Xmx3G the error on the final screenshot appears. When I have the -Xmx3G the first two errors appear.
