Hi! I don't quite know what to do here. I have minecraft 1.7.10 installed on my mac, and it works great. And then i downloaded forge (the latest update) and I ran that and it works fine as well. Here's where the problem comes in; whenever I install a mod and put it in my mods folder, it doesn't run in minecraft. Minecraft launches perfectly well, there are no crashes or anything, but it still says on the of the screen in the main menu that there are only three mods installed. I don't know what to do
So I go to whatever download site is there (adfly, mediafire, dropbox, etc.) and I download the file. Most of them tend to be .jar. So I drag the .jar file into my mods folder because that's what I was told to do in different videos.
I'm kind of stumped ...
Can you post the contents of your .minecraft/mods? Just the full filenames of all files there. Also which Forge version do you have installed? The 4 digit build number.

SmartCore-1.7.10-1.0.jar
SmartMoving-1.7.10-15.2.jar
SmartRender-1.7.10-2.0.jar

So ur saying that u didnt get all of those mods from the same file? If u didnt then its probably a fake. I dont think Divisor (the mod creator) has even finished a 1.7.10 version.
Check the forum pages for the mods for installation instructions. Sometimes mods have slightly different ways of installing. For example some mods have the file that goes in the mods folder inside the archive you download, usually when there are other things that need to go outside of the mods folder.

Yeah unfortunately I saw a video tutorial on how to do it, and the guy who made it is pretty reliable (tens of thousands of subs) and I did everything he said. The thing is though that it's not this specific mod, it's every mod I tried.
Ok I didnt see your post with the list of mods. I am confused about where you got some of these mods. It looks like you are just trying to use Smart Moving but the forum page says it only requires PlayerAPI and optionally RenderPlayerAPI. What are SmartCore and SmartRender from?

Oh! Actually I do know what that's from. When you download the mod and unzip it, there are three jar files that you need to dowload.
