I am currently running on a MacBook Pro 13inch, 10.9.4 OS X and I recently updated my minecraft to 1.7.10, which launched me into a world of troubles; when I click on it to open it, all I get is the icon getting larger indicating it is being opened and then nothing happens. I can't quite find out what it is and it doesn't seem like there is a mass problem among the Mac users. I am also using Java Oracle 7. I currently run a YouTube channel and not being able to run minecraft is limiting my video making abilities. I am not sure what is wrong and currently rest on running minecraft on my HP even though it is laggy and not quite convenient.
Hopefully some people out in the community can help me.
Interesting... So when you try to open it, it just does nothing? Try opening Console(The application) and see if that reports anything when you try to open it.
It could be a problem with your java version, you can download the latest version here :
Its none of those things, I just tried downloading the most recent Java version and it still does the same thing, if you think it would help I could make a youtube video of it.
