My younger brother and I share an account. He is 6 and likes playing the game. He was playing and then hit "Save and Exit"The next day; all his items were lost. All of them. In his inventory, in his chests. I just thought it was a glitch and reported it to the bug tracker and got his items back throught creative mode. It happened again the next day. Details about the game/world:
I had gamerule keepInventory on.
Nobody else had used the computer to play minecraft besides him and I.
I hadn't used his world
the world had cheats on
OS: Windows 8.1
Java Version: Latest
PC: HP Pavilion

Congrats! You just wasted a second of your life reading this!
Due to the way item naming changed in the snapshots (and for 1.8 when it comes out), it uses names not id numbers, when you switch back to 1.7.10 the game see all these items without id's and deletes them
